Foraging and Feasting Part 2

Saturday brought even more food and wonderful experiences! We got up and were out and about by 9:30! Our stomachs led us right down to Pike Place and a great day of eating began! Oh and we did some sight seeing as well!

First, breakfast came from the Pike Place Bakery! Mike had an enormous doughnut and the best ever jalapeno and cheddar cheese biscuit. I had a huge cinnamon twist and a basket of mixed berries! We found this cute little table area that no one sat at, except the birds!! We also stopped by Three Girls bakery and picked up some cookies and a fresh loaf of rosemary garlic bread (to be eaten for dinner!)

Next we headed down to the Aquarium...Mike had never been there! It was fun and we really enjoyed being able to just roam around with no agenda...but then our stomachs spoke and it was time to feed them! For lunch we ate at Jack's...the best clam chowder and fish around. It is all prepared right before you in this little stand!

Our next stop, DeLaurenti's. OH MY GOSH!!! If you love food and love Italian at that, you have got to stop here! Mike and I went in and began 'foraging' for dinner that night. We gathered up meat and cheeses, wine and fresh fruits for the evening meal. As we headed back to the hotel we stumbled upon the Chocolate Box! YUMMY! We had the best gelato - I had passion fruit and Mike had lemon. Being that it was a warm Seattle day, this hit the spot!

Once we got back to the hotel, it was nap time! We rested and got ready for our big night out on the town - watching a movie!

Hardly is there time or opportunity for us to take in a 'big kids' movie so we decided that we wanted to see Star Trek. After a late dinner, we walked over to the movie theater inside Pacific Place shopping center and caught the late night showing. At about 1:30 am we stumbled back to the hotel and settled into bed.

What a great day!
